Following Peterís untimely death in 2009, some of the family and friends of Peter Preston sent BATOD a substantial cheque to provide funding for an award in his name.

The NEC decided to institute an annual award of £100 to be given for the best article on audiology written by a practitioner in the previous yearís Magazine. The National Executive Council will consider all the articles written during the calendar year in the Magazine by a practitioner and with practitioners in mind, and choose a winning article.

The award will then be presented to the winner at the March AGM of the following year.
