Deaf Instructor – Hackney
Hackney Learning Trust is a department within Hackney Council that is responsible for Hackney’s children’s centres, 34,268 pupils in 77 schools and early years and adult education. Our vision is to provide excellent education for every child, young person and adult learner
Part time (21.6 hours per week) fixed term until 31 July 2020.
Salary: £31434 to £32577 Inc. LW (pro rata for part time, fixed term)
Hackney Learning Trust is seeking to recruit a dedicated and creative Deaf Instructor (DI) to join our team service for deaf and partially hearing children within the Inclusion and Specialist Support Team.
You will be an experienced Deaf Instructor with the ability to demonstrate skills in teaching British Sign Language to Level 3 and skills in supporting parents, families, and children at schools and at home.
You will work as part of an enthusiastic team of professionals who are striving to constantly improve provision for Deaf pupils. As a Deaf Instructor within the Inclusion and Specialist support team you will have a commitment and passion to ensure quality access to whole school provision and delivery of good outcomes for deaf pupils.
