Closes 17.03.21

The Ewing Foundation is a national charity supporting the inclusion and achievement of deaf children.

We offer a number of services to education professionals, schools, local authorities and resource provisions including consultancy, technical support and training.

We are now recruiting an Education Advisor for the South. A highly valued member of our team has retired and we are keen to build on the excellent work she has undertaken over a number of years.

This role will lead on ensuring specialist and mainstream professionals receive effective training, support and advice on all relevant aspects of deaf education including (but not exclusively) listening, language, literacy, social and emotional development, and transition.

This role will also need to anticipate and respond to changes in education and technology so that professionals are prepared to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future.

Looking ahead, we also want to embed the work of the Burwood Park Foundation, within the remit of the Ewing Foundation. This is our charity with a focus on deaf children with additional needs. We would be delighted to hear from candidates with experience in this area. This work could also be considered as a separate part time post.

Based at home, and travelling, when this is permitted again, across the UK, particularly the south east and south west of England, this presents exciting and varied opportunities for a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf. For more information, and to download a Candidate Information pack, please visit:

Please note, the closing date for this role is Wednesday 17 March 2021 at 5pm.

We look forward to hearing from you!
