An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Qualified Teacher of the Deaf will become available from April 2025 at The Elizabeth Foundation’s Family Centre in Portsmouth, Hampshire, to lead our weekly Baby sessions and monthly Listen sessions for children 0-18 months old and their families.
This is a 1.5 day per week permanent post, with a salary appropriate to the skills, qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
The Elizabeth Foundation provides a happy and relaxed atmosphere, where staff are committed to newborn hearing screening, parent support, early intervention and preschool education. Our programme focusses on teaching deaf children to learn to listen and speak, so proficiency in sign language is not required.
Candidates must enjoy working with young children from 0-5yrs, so a working knowledge of the “Early Years Foundation Stage” would be an advantage.
