Salary range: L6 to L10 (£46,457 – £51,311)
Work location: SENSS Hearing Resource Base, The Cherwell School, Oxford
Hours per week: 32.5 (term-time only)

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an Area Team Manager for the Special Educational Needs Support Service’s Hearing Impairment Team.
Working in the Hearing Impairment Team, part of the wider Special Educational Needs Support Services (SENSS), you’ll join a well-established team that is highly regarded by educational settings and other services/organisations in Oxfordshire.
About the Role:
As the Area Team Manager, you will be leading a small team of Teachers of the Deaf, working in mainstream and resource base settings.
An experienced, innovative and highly motivated Qualified Teacher of the Deaf, you’ll have experience of successful partnership working with families and children and have highly effective staff management abilities and strong leadership skills.
You’ll have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and outstanding communication skills, together with the ability to think and plan creatively. Your ability to analyse and formatively use assessment data to drive improvements in outcomes for children and young people with hearing impairment is essential.
You will also be required to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.
