Contract: Permanent

Cumbria County Council SEND Teaching Support Team (SEND TST) are seeking to appoint a qualified Specialist Advisory Teacher: Deaf and Hearing Impairment. We will also consider an experienced teacher of C&YP with SEND, who is willing to complete the post graduate madatory qualification to become a QTOD. Training would be funded for a suitable candidate to gain the MQ.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to champion the equality of learning and improve the outcomes for children and young people who are Deaf or have Hearing Impairment.

We are pleased to offer this as a permanent post.

You will work as an integral member of SEND TST, supporting children and young people who are Deaf or have Hearing Impairment. The work is peripatetic and provides support to children and young people, schools and families across county.

You will be:

*Joining an established and forward thinking team
*Experienced in working with children and young people who are Deaf or have Hearing Impairment.
*Willing to learn new skills
*Required to provide support from Early Years to Post 16
*Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills
*Able to demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education and high aspirations for Children and Young People with SEND in Cumbria
