Teacher of Deaf Children for KS3/4
Subject specialism in English, Maths or Science

Salary Range: MPS/UPS fringe allowance and SEN points dependant on qualifications and experience

Heathlands is an outstanding local authority special school for deaf children aged 3-16. Due to expansion of our secondary department we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed teacher to join a well-established team. The successful candidate must be able to offer a subject specialism up to GCSE level in a core subject; English, Maths or Science. The ability to offer a second subject is desirable.

The successful candidate will also be expected to have involvement in the wider life of the school including tutoring responsibility for a small group of students.

Teachers who have experience and/or qualification to teach deaf children are invited to apply. Knowledge of British Sign Language or a commitment to work towards minimum BSL3 is essential.
