We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring teacher to join our team. You will need to be prepared to learn new skills, work independently and with colleagues in the Sensory Support Team. You will also be supported to create positive relationships with our colleagues in health and charities.

If you are not already qualified as a Teacher of the Deaf this post offers an exciting and interesting opportunity to exercise your brain cells as you study to gain the additional mandatory qualification as well as learning British Sign Language (all course fees paid by us).

Your new role will include:
• Delivering training to schools
• Working closely with families
• Advising on access
• Learning & supporting BSL delivery
• Delivering bespoke interventions
• Developing a skillset that allows you to teach how to use Deaf specific technology
• Being part of a team that is continually developing new strategies to better the outcomes for children/young people who are Deaf.

As part of the interview process you will be asked to deliver an 8 minute presentation on a topic of your choice.

Your new salary will be on the Main or Upper Pay Scale for Teachers plus 1/2 SEN (– actual salary dependent on individual’s qualifications and previous relevant experience)
