Teacher of the Deaf – Thomasson Memorial School, Bolton
Thomasson Memorial School is a successful 2-16 special school meeting the needs of deaf children.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to work flexible across our primary and secondary provision. We have a child-centred ethos, a spectrum of communication modes and supportive colleagues.
We invite applications from enthusiastic professionals who have vision and energy to ensure the continued development and progress of the school.
– Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the curriculum and SEN.
– Be enthusiastic, self-motivating and able to demonstrate flexibility in your style of approach.
– Have a caring and patient nature, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Be a team player and be able to contribute to the shared responsibility ethos of our school.
Qualified Teachers of the Deaf or those with such aspirations are invited to apply.
Knowledge of British Sign Language or a commitment to work towards BSL 3 is essential.
