“The School of Psychology at the University of Derby is currently conducting a British Academy-funded research study investigating how deaf people think and solve visual problems, and how language experience (British Sign Language (BSL), English, or both) may influence these processes.
We are seeking deaf adults aged 18–65 who were deaf from birth or who became deaf in both ears before the age of three, and whose primary language is BSL, English, or both. Participants will be invited to complete an online study, which takes approximately one hour.
We would be very grateful if you could help us share information about this research with your members and the wider community.
The study has received ethical approval from the University of Derby, and all participation is entirely voluntary and confidential.
