3. Auditory perception and hearing testing

This section includes the processes used to monitor and assess hearing thresholds.  How they are carried out depends on the child’s age and developmental stage.  At each appointment, the assessments will involve routine procedures including ‘history taking’, otoscopy and tympanometry.
