Research project about deaf infants’ communicative development

The Cognitive Development Research Group at The University of Sheffield are looking for parents/caregivers of deaf infants between 6-18 months of age to participate in a study about how babies learn to communicate, how communication might differ for deaf and non-deaf babies, and the ways in which we can support infant communication and pragmatics.

Who are we looking for?
★ Infants born full-term (37 weeks+) with birth weight above 2.5kg
★ Parents fluent in English and/or BSL
What would participating entail?
★ Engage in a 25-minute recorded play session with your baby
★ Location: The University of Sheffield or from your home in the UK


★ Small gift voucher and gift for your baby
