Bethany explains:
My name is Bethany Adams and I am a PhD student exploring fatigue experienced by children with a hearing loss.
Fatigue is a term used to describe an overall feeling of tiredness, lack of vigor or lack of energy. It is currently difficult to measure.
I am looking for parents/guardians and children between the ages of 6 and 16 to take part in my online study. This study aims to compare the different questionnaires that are currently used to measure fatigue.
If you are a parent/guardian, the online activity will include some demographical questions about you and your child. You will then be asked to complete a series of questionnaires about your child.
Children’s online activities include a series of questionnaires. They will also take part in a listening activity.

If your child is:
- Aged 6 to 16 years old.
- Has Unilateral Hearing Loss or Bilateral Hearing Loss (diagnosed by an audiologist) or Normal Hearing
Then both you and your child are eligible take part in our online study!
