Two surveys are currently open:
📝 UK Captioning in Education Working Group (BATOD/Jisc) – For schools, colleges, universities, and all professionals supporting deaf learners.
📝 Live Captioning in Further & Higher Education (Jisc) – Focused specifically on FE and HE contexts.
Both surveys take only a few minutes and will directly inform the guidance shaping future access for deaf and hard‑of‑hearing learners across the UK.
Why this matters
Speech‑to‑text support is becoming an increasingly important part of equitable access. The more perspectives we gather from across deaf education, IT, accessibility, and learner‑support teams, the stronger and more representative the final guidance will be.
