“The School of Psychology at the University of Derby and are currently conducting a British Academy-funded study investigating how deaf people think and solve visual problems, and how language experience (British Sign Language and/or English) may influence these processes.
We are seeking deaf adults aged 18–65 who were deaf from birth or who became deaf in both ears before the age of three, and whose primary language is BSL, English, or both. Participants will complete an online study lasting approximately one hour.
We would be very grateful if you could help us share information about this research with your members and wider community.”
“The study has received ethical approval from the University of Derby, and all participation is voluntary and confidential.
If you have any questions about the project or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].”
