Artburst online resources

Posted in News

Artburst has been funded to create a set of online resources which are accessible for children with Speech Language Communication Needs.

They explain “There are many resources to choose from all of which include stories, songs, creative-making with craft videos and craft templates which can be downloaded. You can do the whole of each resource or dip in an out for an occasional song / story video or craft.

For families with under 5’s we have Animal Safari fun with zebra, hippo, giraffe, crocodile and elephant crafts and the Animal Safari song.

For activities which some Under 5’s and all primary aged children can take part in our Summer Dreams activities include modroc puppet-making, bee and
butterfly crafts; Goldilocks and the Three Bears storytime and summery songs.

Our Monster Mayhem resource was designed to address needs which our partners identified that children needed support with their mental well-being following COVID and the long lockdowns.

Follow the original illustrated story of Marge Monster through the ‘terrible stink’ and her return to play at the ‘bubbling bog’. There are fun monster themed crafts and the Monster Wiggle song and dance video.

Our No Pens Day activity is also available if you want to plan a No Pens activity at your setting in the holidays / or on your return in September.

We’d be delighted if you would try them out in your settings – or signpost families to the resources.

We’d also love to hear your feedback if you use them – please feel free to email [email protected] if you would like to give feedback or if you’d like more info.”
