An exciting opportunity within BATOD has arisen. From 01/05/2019 the role of Magazine Editor and Assistant Executive Officer will become available for two days a week. Initially it will be a two year contract.
We need a highly effective communicator and someone with exceptional organisation skills to continue the work of BATOD and support the National Executive Officer, Paul Simpson. The magazine is one of the high-profile aspects of the work of BATOD and through this role you will lead on the co-ordination and delivery of this well-received publication.
The successful applicant will have a strong background in deaf education, will be a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf and BATOD member. The successful applicant needs to be a passionate advocate of deaf education. The applicant also needs to be a leading practitioner in Sensory education and will have outstanding communication skills, both in person and in written form.
This role offers the successful applicant an opportunity to be at the forefront of key BATOD activity and contribute to shaping the work of BATOD. This role has the potential to increase in time commitment in the future.
