Ewing Foundation free online event – Understanding Auditory Processing Disorder with Nadia Abbott from Sound Horizons

Join us for a free online training session on Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).

We are delighted to be joined by presenter Nadia Abbott. Nadia is a Health and Care Professions Council-registered clinician, qualified audiologist and speech therapist. She is also the founder of Sound Horizons, an online service dedicated to improving access to high‑quality support for individuals with APD across the UK.

During this concise, practical session, Nadia will explore what APD really is, how it presents in both hearing individuals and those with hearing loss, and why APD‑type behaviours are often misunderstood. We’ll cover the core symptom clusters, everyday red flags, how APD differs from ADHD and dyslexia, and what you should know about assessment pathways and supporting individuals who experience listening difficulties beyond audibility.  We hope you’ll be able to join us!
