Content

What if BSL users could access your website’s information directly in British Sign Language – at the point they need it?

SignStreamBSL is a new accessibility technology that enables organisations to add professional British Sign Language translations directly to their existing websites.

Rather than relying on AI-generated avatars or sending users away to separate accessibility pages, SignStreamBSL maps website content to BSL videos performed by qualified human translators. Visitors can select supported content and access the corresponding BSL translation directly within the website.

In this live webinar, the directors of SignStreamBSL will introduce the technology, explain the accessibility challenge it has been designed to address, and demonstrate SignStreamBSL working on a website.

The session will explore:

  1. How BSL can be integrated into existing website content;
  2. How written information can be mapped to professionally translated BSL video;
  3. Why human BSL translation remains central to the SignStreamBSL approach;
  4. How organisations can improve digital access for BSL users without rebuilding their websites; and
  5. Practical examples of how the technology could be used across education, public services and other organisations.

There will also be an opportunity to see the technology demonstrated and ask questions directly to the SignStreamBSL team.
