BATOD is a long-standing and active member of FEAPDA, the European Federation of professional associations of Teachers of the Deaf. A key element of FEAPDA’s work is the conference that members organise every 2-3 years. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for professionals working in deaf education to share their research and innovative practice on an international platform.
The next conference will be held in Tallin, Estonia, in September 2022. The overall focus of the conference is innovation, Opportunities and Challenges in 21st Deaf Education: Technology inside and outside the classroom.
The conference organisers are now inviting interested parties to submit an abstract for a possible paper presentation or workshop. Further details can be found in the Call for Contributions .
Historically, we have had many submissions from the UK, so do consider if you have work and practice that you feel would be appropriate for this event.
