My NDCS, a free app for parents of deaf children

Posted in News

“The National Deaf Children’s Society are excited to announce the launch of My NDCS, a free app for parents and carers of deaf children.

We’d like every family with a deaf child to benefit from the app. We’d appreciate it if you could recommend the app to the families you work with.

With helpful content and trustworthy information, My NDCS is there to support parents and carers as they raise their deaf child, no matter their child’s level or type of deafness.

The app gives families the chance to:

  • Find expert information and resources tailored to where they live and their child’s age.
  • Read stories from other families and deaf role models or use the glossary to look up key terms they might come across.
  • Record key moments in their child’s journey using the journal, reflect on feelings, or write down notes during appointments.
  • Find out about events where they can get advice from our team of experts and meet other families of deaf children.

My NDCS is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play.

For more information, including a free poster that you can download, print and share with families, visit ndcs.org.uk/my-ndcs-app.
