Posted in News

National Children’s Deaf Society “are holding 3 free online zoom sessions in connection to the Muslim Community and Deaf Children.  Families can listen in and gain information, with videos on/off. Please see below the details of the first event which I think would be really beneficial to many of the families you work closely with. Please can you forward this on to parents and families of interest.

Muslim Community and Deaf Identity

  • Wednesday 19 January
  • 10am to 12 noon
  • Recommended for Muslim parents, carers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents of deaf children aged 0 to 16.

Are you a Muslim family with a deaf young child? Are you struggling to combine the deaf culture and Muslim culture? We will focus on different areas and problems deaf Muslim children may face. Meet other Muslim families for a chance to share stories, address issues and for your voice to be heard.
