Campaign to improve the classroom experience and educational attainment of deaf young people

This year, the National Deaf Children’s Society Young Peoples Advisory board,  are campaigning to improve the classroom experience and educational attainment of deaf young people.

NDCS explain “We are keen to find out the experiences of deaf young people in the classroom. You can help them by kindly sharing this survey with any deaf young people aged 10-18 , or their parents. There are BSL videos for each question and its available in Welsh too.  We will be sharing the results of this survey in early 2022 .

We also want know  how confident teachers are teaching deaf pupils. You can help by sharing this survey with any teachers or schools that you have contact with. There is also an opportunity for Teachers of the Deaf to record their experiences of supporting teachers in mainstream schools. There are BSL videos for each question and its available in Welsh. We will be sharing the results in early 2022.”
