New research project – Are you a hearing parent of a deaf child?

Posted in News

Call out for hearing parents to advise on new research project!
Martina Curtin, a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Clinical Doctorate Research Fellow is looking for hearing parents to join her parent involvement group. Martina is developing a new observational assessment tool that will help to evaluate parent-child interaction in deafness.
Martina already has an advisory board of hearing and deaf professionals (including deaf parents), but she now needs hearing parents to advise the project too. Martina is particularly looking for UK-based BAME parents of deaf children to be involved. Do you work with any who might be willing to help? If yes, please send them this video link (https://youtu.be/pmDUOknjqyk) and Martina’s email address: [email protected]
