Update from BCIG about their 2026 conference

Rehab Champions Conference Day Overview

We are excited to introduce our three fantastic speakers for the morning session at BCIG on Wednesday 22nd April 2026. This session has a strong Rehabilitation focus, exploring parent–child interaction and its connection to mental health — an area that continues to shape outcomes for children and families across the cochlear implant journey.

We are delighted to share this session with our Rehab Champions, a first for BCIG.
Our Rehab Champions play a vital part in shaping and strengthening rehabilitation practice across the UK. To support and celebrate their expertise, Rehab Champions will join delegates for the full morning session of the main conference before moving into a dedicated afternoon programme designed specifically for their roles as local TODs and SLTs.
Afternoon – Rehab Champions Breakout Programme
Following lunch, Rehab Champions will move into a focused afternoon session crafted to support their unique leadership role in promoting Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Practices in their local areas. The programme will include:
  • Collaborative workshops exploring real‑world challenges and service innovations
  • Resource sharing and skills exchange across the Champion network
  • Strategic discussion time to help shape future programme direction
This dedicated space allows Champions to deepen their knowledge, refine tools for their local teams, and strengthen the network’s collective capacity to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred rehabilitation for cochlear implant users.
