Posted in News

BATOD is a member of the SLCA. Please see below a request from SLCA about the recent publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review.

If members wish, you can use the information from SLCA below to contact your local MP.

Send this Parliamentary Question to your MP:
Dear [Your MP],
I am contacting you today as a member of BATOD, an association that is a member of the Speech, Language and Communication Alliance, to see if you would be willing to ask a Parliamentary Question for us in response to the recent publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review. The question would be as follows:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, does the Department plan to “Develop a programme of work to provide evidence-led guidance on curriculum and pedagogical adaptation” as recommended in the Curriculum and Assessment review, and whether this guidance will include specific, practical strategies for supporting children with life-long speech, language and communication challenges such as Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

I have linked the Speech, Language and Communication Alliance’s full response for you to view.”
