Posted in Research

My name is Valerie Porter and I am a MSc student at the University of Manchester on the Deaf Education course.

I am looking to recruit participants to interview for a maximum 90-minute duration. The study aims to gather information on strategies and methods used to teach reading skills to deaf children and to gain meaningful insight into ToD experiences and perceptions on the effectiveness of these strategies.

To be considered to participate you must be:

  • A Qualified ToD currently working in the field
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in the field
  • Currently support a deaf child who is developing reading skills and is capable of becoming literate

If you express interest in participating, you may be contacted to complete a Consent Form. Once complete, an interview will be arranged at a time that suits you, this will be conducted via Zoom.
