Posted in News

Emily Wright, a PhD student at the University of Reading, is seeking input from deaf children for her online research study that will focus on the development of language and cognition in deaf children.

Emily explains “The PhD research project has been approved by the University of Reading’s Research Ethics Committee and is being funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). More information about my research project can be found here:  https://bit.ly/34Zqs5X

I am recruiting deaf children for my online project, both those who speak only English and those who use two or three spoken languages, with English as an Additional Language (EAL). Children who use BSL in addition to spoken language(s) are also welcome to take part.” (See poster below for further details)

If you can share her research project with the parents/carers of the deaf children, both those who speak only English and those who speak English and another spoken language), please do contact  Emily for further details via [email protected]
