Recruitment request from Research Assistant, Epic Futures ‘Transform’ Project!
“A research team from Stranmillis University College, Belfast has recently secured funding to undertake an important new research project exploring the opportunities and barriers faced by young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as they transition from special education into further training and/or employment in Northern Ireland, identifying availability, access criteria and service gaps.
As part of the first phase of the project, we are encouraging parents/carers of post-19 young people who have recently left special education to complete a short online survey which should take no more than 10 minutes. The survey link is below and we would be very grateful if you could distribute the link and encourage the parents/carers of your young people to complete the survey as soon as possible. The key questions in the survey explore parental perceptions of the range of options available to them, the guidance available as they navigated the period of transition, and their suggestions for improvement.

Many thanks,
