NDCS, University of Manchester and BATOD webinar

Knowing how to use language socially and being able to adapt it to different situations is known as ‘pragmatics’. Sometimes, deaf children can experience delays in their pragmatic development.

This live webinar will provide insight into how deaf children develop pragmatics and how to use the NDCS Pragmatics resource to develop and extend social communication skills.

This session will be presented by Dr Helen Chilton, Senior Lecturer in Deaf Education at the University of Manchester and supported by The National Deaf Children’s Society.

This event is open to Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People and other professionals working with deaf children.

British Sign Language interpretation and closed captioning will be available.
