University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is seeking a full-time Principal Teacher of the Deaf to join our Hearing Implant multidisciplinary team. This regional specialist service supports severely hearing-impaired children and adults throughout the South West of England.

The successful candidate will be based at St Michaels Hospital, Bristol, and will provide crucial clinical and managerial leadership within the WEHIP Teacher of the Deaf Team. The role involves comprehensive managerial duties, clinical leadership, and the coordination of services across the region, ensuring high standards of care and education for our patients pre- and post-implantation.

Responsibilities include managing a complex clinical caseload, ensuring consistent service delivery that meets Quality Standards and National Specifications, and leading the team of implant Teacher of the Deaf professionals. The role also entails extensive collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals across the South West to maintain a coordinated and effective service.
