NDCS commissioned report release
“In Northern Ireland, Teachers of the Deaf Children and Young People (ToDCYPs) who help deaf children and families in the home, in early years and in mainstream and special schools, are employed by the Education Authority Sensory Service.
We commissioned an independent report to look at how the Sensory Service could be strengthened to better support deaf children now and in the future.
We are grateful to the deaf children and young people, parents and carers, the Sensory Service and other professionals who shared their experiences and views as part of this work.
