World Hearing Day 2021 – Activity update from BATOD Special Overseas Members

Posted in News

Thank you to our BATOD Special Overseas members, Brother Peter and Deo, for sharing the details of their World Hearing Day 2021 activity. This year’s theme was “Hearing Care For All.  SCREEN. REHABILITATE. COMMUNICATE”

World Hearing Day is held on 3 March each year to raise awareness on how to prevent deafness and hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care around the world.

Audiologists, Brother Peter and Deo, and their peers in St Gabriel’s School for the Deaf (C.J.S.M) have been very busy. For the last few days Brother Peter and Deo undertook a massive screening of the students so that today, 3rd March 2021, they could fit some donated hearing aids and with a recent donation make interventions possible.
Their commitment to meet the additional audiological needs of deaf children during this Covid-19 pandemic is highly valued. Thank you.

Happy World Hearing Day 2021
