5‐Day Training Course ‐ starting September 2025 Sittingbourne, Kent

Jointly delivered by NatSIP and the Kent Sensory Service, this 5‐day training course, offered over nine weeks, provides a practical approach to supporting access to learning for children and young people with deafblindness or multi‐sensory im‐ pairment.

The course is for hands‐on practitioners who work on a regular basis with learners who are deafblind or multi‐sensory impaired

The aim of the course is to provide the participants with an opportunity to explore the needs of the individual children and young people, reflecting on, sharing and de‐ veloping their practice. A local or course mentor will work participants to develop an outcomes‐focused case study

Thursday 25 September 2025 – The Role of the Senses

Thursday 9 October 2025 – Developing Communication Skills Session I

Thursday 6 November 2025 – The role of Touch in Learning

Thursday 20 November 2025 – Developing Communication Skills Session II

Cost:

£550/delegate, if a local mentor is agreed within your workplac
