How to achieve a fit for purpose EHCP – Fiona Slomovic, Director of Advocacy and Mediation Consultants
Mainstream benefits and challenges: a tricky balance? – Sue Brownson, Lead for the Deaf Provision at Laycock School
The importance of context information in working towards developing theory of mind – Katrien Timmerman – Educational Psychologist, KIDS, Belgium

Workshops may change and will depend on demand, but will include:

  • Identity and confidence for young people with cochlear implants
  • Challenging the Local Authority (inc. Tribunals and Q and A)
  • Dealing with DLA and PIP
  • Early red flags for development of language
  • Fun with listening and language in the early years
  • Preparing your child for transitions in education
  • Young adult CI users telling it like it is
  • Hearing dogs – more than a four-legged friend
  • C.I. and radio aid manufacturers’ products
